David CParticipantPeggy I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Take care of yourself and those around you. You know that you and your family are in our prayers and thoughts… Keep strong
Love to you all
DavidDavid CParticipantGreat to see you on the mend, “THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME”, take it easy and let Charlie look after you. Do as the Doc says and remember that you have to walk before you can run , so don’t try and do too much too early. Rest is a big healer…. Keep getting stronger.
We are in Newcastle to see Lionel Richie on Tue 20th and are staying at Jury’s that night and will be in town on the Wednesday. Perhaps we might meet for a coffee or something….. email if you would like..
Love to you both

David CParticipantWe can all dream can’t we?
Charlie and England live in Newcastle upon Tyne which is about 100 miles North of Scarborough. The roads from here are over the North Yorkshire Moors, which wilst the scenery is beautiful the roads are slow and twisty up until we can cross to the west and meet the A1 or Great North Road. On a good day it takes about 2 hours from home to the Tyne Bridge.
To see some pictures of Newcastle go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/tyne and follow links to “The Tyne Bridges” or “In Pictures” and then february Gallery. These are pictures taken by local people and have some explanation of where they were taken.
Hope you enjoy the scenes
DavidDavid CParticipantThere seem to be a lot of pictures missing. 🙁

England and I may be across the pond but really feel like we are part of this great big nutty family.
Gald to have you join us.

I still feel as young as I did when I was Young..
I had a wonderful birthday, on Tuesday we went to Newcastle and stayed at Jesmond Dene House,
http://www.jesmonddenehouse.co.uk
where we had a lovely meal and Fay treated me to a nice bottle of Champagne!!
When we came home we were invited to a friends for supper… this turned out to be a surprise party with a lot of my old work friends from the College where I worked 12 years ago..
We had a great time, it was really nice to see them all again. :cheerleader:  :pig:  :cheerleader:
Today is the first time I have had time to sit down and visit you all–had to collect my bus pass for free bus travel, my Card for 10% discount at the big DIY store etc.
We are going to get some compost etc for the allotment today as it is pensioners discount day..10% is better than nothing and if they want to give it I am willing to wait for a Wednesday to go shopping there..Must dash for now
Love to you all
