4 egg yolks
1/2 c. carob powder
1/3 c. soy milk
1 tsp. vanilla
4 egg whitesBlend the egg yolks, carob, milk and vanilla for about 30 seconds at low speed. In a bowl, beat the egg whites until quite stiff. Fold the blender mixture into the whites and spoon into 5 or 6 cups. Set in the refrigerator or eat at once. Serves 5 or 6. Total of approximately 40 calories each serving. You may add 2 tablespoons honey to the egg yolks, carob, soy milk and vanilla.

2 c. lukewarm water
1 c. soft cooked rice
1/2 c. soy milk (Soyagen or Soyamel)
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. carob powder
1/4 c. oil
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. saltWhiz all ingredients in blender. Freeze until semi-solid, whip until creamy. Freeze again until almost solid. Serve immediately. Yield approximately 5 cups.

1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. carob powder
1 c. rice sweetener or fruit

1/2 c. broken walnutsSift dry ingredients. Add oil, sweetener, eggs and vanilla; mix with electric mixer, just until blended. Add walnuts if desired. 10×10 pan at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. *Oat flour can be made by grinding whole oats (oatmeal) in blender or food processor.

1 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. raisins (optional)Blend butter, carob, add applesauce; set aside. Combine dry ingredients. Add carob mix and egg. Blend until moist. Fold in raisins. Fill paper cups. Bake 350 degrees 20 minutes. Yield 16.

1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk (or 1 1/2 tsp.
lemon juice to make 1/2 c. milk)
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. each salt, baking powder,
cinnamon and cloves
2 c. grated zucchini
1 c. carob chipsCream margarine, oil and sugar. Beat in eggs, vanilla and buttermilk. Combine all dry ingredients and add to mixture. Beat with electric mixer and fold in zucchini and chips. Turn into well-greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.

4 c. hot popcornIn small saucepan, melt butter and honey. Add carob powder and instant coffee and stir until dissolved. Toss with popcorn and serve a cup to each person immediately. Makes 4 servings.
