I think I accidently clicked on “Stop watching topic” because I was rushing to read mail.

There were two links and I clicked on the wrong one. It may be ok now because when I clicked to view the last post made it took me directly to it and I didnt have to go looking for it.

Generall, Im glad your avatar is working right now 🙂

Since I am new to making avatars, I have to watch the file size, that was the problem.

Georgie, I sent you an email hon, I need the actual image of your avatar to fix it or resize it. The name of the image does not help. IF you cant attach it in email, maybe Peggy can tell you how to post it here using the IMG tags above. I never tried yet, so I cant say how its done.

Have a busy day today, so I may not be back till tomorrow, but if I have a few mins here and there, I will see if I can read mail and reply.

They were both animated. The fat cat was to use in email as a signature its way too large to use here. I will try to scale it down, but Im pretty sure it will distort it badly.

I hope you saved the animated cooking cat, as I will go to profiles and remove your avatar and put back my own. I bet we are confusing peolple with the posts.. LOL

Now for a question,

I get email notification of a new post, but when I click the link, it says I am no longer watching the conversation or something to that effect. I then have to scroll all the posts in this topic to find the post.

How do I turn on “watch post or topic or what ever I need?”

Hey Georgie, I think I sent you a PM with my email addy, atleast I hope I did it correctly.

Generall, I know why your advatar didnt animate here, The file size was too large, I resized it, and optimized it and now its working the way I made it. Just right click, save it and give it a name you want and be sure it saves as .gif format.

Tomorrow I will go to profiles and remove it and put back my advatar so it does not look as though I am posting as you. LOL

Georgie, I didnt take classes for this hon, I am self taught on the animations. I am do eye winking, hair blowing, breathing, rain, and water movement.

I did join some PaintshopPro learning groups a few years ago to learn how to work the graphic program, but no one was teaching animations so I had to play and learn that on my own. Its so much fun, I love it!! Now I animate about everything. 😆

The classes I am taking now are to learn the PhotoImpact graphic program, from there I will take classes to learn PhotoShop which is what the pros use mostly. I do this as a hobby, I love to learn new things.

Peggy, my offer still goes, if you would like an advatar as well, please let me know.

I am home, I didnt get to run errands, my friends came over early. Now its starting to storm here so I have to shut down the PC.

Georgie, I uploaded your avatar onto my profile and its working.

Just right click and save it to your PC and then add it to your profile hon.

Now you have an animated avatar again, I will fix your old one too, but I need you to send it to me someway.

Generall I didnt forget you. I will work on it later after the storm stops.

Ok Gerogie, you can right click and save this avatar if you want. Later today I am going to try and add your name to it and will post that one as well.

If anyone else here would like an avatar, just tell me what image you like or if you have an avatar and want it animated, let me know.

Georgie, if you know how to post images using the IMG tag above, post your old avatar so I can fix it for you to use again on the site.

I had a few mins before I have to go run some errands, I wanted to see if the animated avatar works.

So Im going to post with your Avatar to test it, if it works, later on today I will add your name to it and either post it so you can right click and save or you can download it at a link.

If this works, I will then fix Generalls as well and who ever else may want an avatar.

I think I over did it with the company. Between grocery shopping, cleaning house and cooking, I am still feeling it.

I have the condition called “Fibromyagia” and I seem to still be in a flareup.

I think I need the license of that truck that hit me. LOL

Its good to know about the gif, some sites do not allow gif or animation avatars. My graphic forum seems to only allow jpg. I uploaded my gif, but its not animated.. strange..

Hey Georgie, cute avatar! If you can post your old avatar using the IMG where I can download it, I will check the file size and optimize it and maybe it will work again.

Is there a way to use PM msgs so I can give out my email addy? Would rather not post it in the public forum, I worry about getting spam emails.

I wanted to drop by and post really quick. I had company for diner and they just left. I had only 4 hours sleep and was up cooking again at 8 am so Im pretty beat.

Generall, I have to double check, but Im almost possitive your frame was animated on this avatar. Not that it matters, but I just am curious as thats what I remembered creating. I know this site takes animations because I had animated the image of my pommie and it took.

Georgie, I will either resize yours or make you another one. Im sorry your old one is not taking now. Thats strange, if it worked before it still should. Let me know what you would like as the image and I will make something special for you. 😆

Hey Generall, your avatar looks good on you. I was worried that maybe the file was too large to fit on the site. I noticed its not animated, and I think I made the frame animate. Doesnt matter, Im just glad you liked it.

Peggy if you want one, just let me know what you like and I will make you one.

Im having company tomorrow so I probably wont be around to post, thought I would check in now just on case.

Still doing my web graphics class, trying to get use to their board as well.

So using the IMG, what size image can be posted and is there a way to delete it afterwards so it does not eat into your storage space here?

Is this your forum? I didn’t know who it belonged too or who created it, but what a good idea.

Some of the other cooking sites, you have to pay to be a member or pay to be able to view a recipe.

I have to admit it took some getting use to. I am so use to yahoo groups and all posts coming to my Outlook Express, I get lost on most forums. 😆

http://www.photobucket.com is free all you need to do is register and you can upload photos there. Its usually where I upload tags I make for people.

There is another place too, I think its called Fotki or something like that. I notice there you create albums. So when you give the link to your album people can view everything in the album.

With Photobucket, you have to give out a link to each image which can be more of a hassle. But hey, its free, so you cant really complain much. 😉

I made a desktop wallpaper last night with some pictures of my furbabies. I was just playing around in paintshop pro. Never made a wall paper before, now that I can, I need to make one a bit nicer. Wish there was a way to show pictures here.

Guess if we want to show pics, we have to upload to another site and share the link like I did with the tags.

They are not the best pictures. I just grabbed a few from a folder and put a border around them and clued together, threw in a colored background and saved it. LOL

I heard that its possible but wasnt sure. I was just amazed that she had so many kittens and no two were even close to looking alike. Some were long hair and others were shorter hair, one was so furry and chocolate brown, he looked like a baby Chow instead of a kitten. Another was silver gray and tips were smokey gray with blue eyes. He was beautiful!

Each one looked so different and had their own personalities, I wanted them all. 😆

They would try to snuggle up with the Pommie, I think they got confused. My poor pommie didnt know where to hide 😛

Thank you so much. I wont use it here, but would like to create a tag with it for the future to use in emails. Have an idea in mind with images of different kitties and this adorable licking kitty would fit perfect!!
