Lol this is kind of funny but I found my Finnish family cookbook
and found a recipe for “Fish Stew” it’s kind of funny how it’s worded.Fish Stew
1 lb cleaned fish
2 tsp salt
1 medium onion
1/2 tsp dill weed
4 cups water
3 or 4 potatoes, peeled and diced
2 cups Milk
2-3 Tblsp butter
chives or fresh dillCut fish into 2 inch pieces. Place fish, salt, onion
and dill weed into a large pot and cover with water.
Bring to boiling point and simmer until fish flakes
when pierced with fork, but does not fall apart.
Drain, reserve liquid, boil potatoes in fish stalk until tender.
Combine with fish and add the milk. Simmer
about 20 minutes. (Do not boil) Dot with butter and chives
or dill. [/u]RedstormyMemberMy mother-in-law does a recipe similar to this except she add
miniture marshmellows as well.RedstormyMemberI’ve never eaten a hushpuppy… but I want to try this. I love anything with cornbread
RedstormyMemberI usually do three blocks of cream cheese and three cans of clams
because my husband loves it so much I won’t get any if I don’t make
a large batch.Red
RedstormyMemberI eat it all the time for lunch even though I don’t need diet food.

Lol I love you guys.. you always have me laughing 😆nana my mom ate squirrel during the depression, but she said
they were red squirrels, we only seem to have gray squirrels now.Red
RedstormyMemberLol OC, my son was recently down there working on rebuilding
houses and he tried it. He thought it was pretty good, I didn’t
ask how it was cooked. I’m still curious…. I still want to get
the nerve to eat Squirrel too.. I’ve had Bear, moose, deer
Rabbit, phesant. *grinRedstormyMemberWell I plan on trying all of them eventually.. tonight I did the one
with fried onions. Both me and my husband love carmelized onions.
My son not so much *grinRedstormyMemberYou guys are my heros thank you.. now if only I could

Add a little bit of Baking Powder to your mash potatoes
and they come out fluffier.Lucky I liked your salt idea on the pan before
frying bacon, it works for lean burgers too.I think I’m going to do what John did
