Lol this is kind of funny but I found my Finnish family cookbook
and found a recipe for “Fish Stew” it’s kind of funny how it’s worded.

    Fish Stew

    1 lb cleaned fish
    2 tsp salt
    1 medium onion
    1/2 tsp dill weed
    4 cups water
3 or 4 potatoes, peeled and diced
    2 cups Milk
    2-3 Tblsp butter
    chives or fresh dill

Cut fish into 2 inch pieces. Place fish, salt, onion
and dill weed into a large pot and cover with water.
Bring to boiling point and simmer until fish flakes
when pierced with fork, but does not fall apart.
Drain, reserve liquid, boil potatoes in fish stalk until tender.
Combine with fish and add the milk. Simmer
about 20 minutes. (Do not boil) Dot with butter and chives
    or dill. [/u]

I usually do three blocks of cream cheese and three cans of clams
because my husband loves it so much I won’t get any if I don’t make
    a large batch.

Well I plan on trying all of them eventually.. tonight I did the one
with fried onions. Both me and my husband love carmelized onions.
My son not so much *grin

Vinegar removes hard water stains too.

Add a little bit of Baking Powder to your mash potatoes
    and they come out fluffier.

Lucky I liked your salt idea on the pan before
frying bacon, it works for lean burgers too.

I think I’m going to do what John did
