DeniseParticipant
I second the motion– we love new members!
DeniseParticipantI think God gets the message whether you are a Christian, a Muslim. a Jew, or anything else. I mean, “thank you” means “thank you” in any religion! Doesn’t it?
DeniseParticipantThanks again, Raylene!
DeniseParticipantThanks Raylene!
DeniseParticipantP.S. For those who don’t already know it: Vprinn1955 is named Raylene! Sorry Raylene, you can’t be mysterious here!
DeniseParticipantWe’ve known about Raylene’s mom for quite awhile now, but it is really hard on her. She is the only one here to take care of her. Once in awhile one of us will go and help if necessary.
As for me, both of my parents are gone. It’s such a strange sensation.
DeniseParticipantNO! Not the N WORD! Say it isn’t so!
DeniseParticipantThanks Peggy. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. I relaxed (translation: slept). I must not be quite recovered from that illness. I feel great, though.
DeniseParticipantWe can’t show up on your doorstep anyway, at least not without more specific directions than what you provide in your profile!
DeniseParticipantSee– at least it wasn’t a noticable mistake (at least not to anyone except a perfectionist like me).
DeniseParticipantProbably because this was more fun. I had noticed the misspelling some time ago, but I figured you were just busy and would catch it on your own eventually.
You’ve been working really hard to get this board set up. It was inevitable that you’d make at least one mistake!
DeniseParticipantHere’s another:
Peanut Butter Fudge
3 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup evaporated milk
4 heaping tablespoons peanut butter
7 ounce jar marshmallow cream
1 cup nuts (chopped)
1 teaspoon vanilla1. Combine sugar, butter and milk in medium saucepan
2. Bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly
3. Continue to boil, stirring for 5 minutes over medium heat
4. Remove from heat
5. Add peanut butter, stir until melted
6. Add marshmallow cream, nuts and vanilla
7. Stir until blended
8. Pour into a buttered 9″ x 9″ square panDeniseParticipantThis is a possibility, though it is definitely not as rich as the original fantasy fudge (the marshmallow creme recipe) since it leaves out the butter and uses regular milk instead of evaporated milk. It is similar, though. I’ll post any others I run across as well.
Jo’s Peanut Butter Fudge
An easy peanut butter fudge is made creamier with marshmallow.* 2 cups granulated sugar
* 2/3 cup milk
* 1 cup marshmallow creme
* 1 cup peanut butter, creamy or chunky
* 1 teaspoon vanillaBoil sugar and milk in a medium saucepan, stirring occasionally, to soft ball stage*, or about 236? on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients. Pour candy into a greased 8×8-inch pan and chill. Cut peanut butter fudge into squares when cool and firm.
*To Test for Soft Ball Stage
A small amount of syrup dropped into chilled water forms a ball, but is soft enough to flatten when picked up with fingers (234? to 240?).DeniseParticipantI love it! I know some friends who will too! Thanks.
DeniseParticipantIf I ever come across a site with info on it I’ll post the link. I haven’t looked for one yet. I got the information from a book about color research. It’s pretty important for someone like me, who reacts to the environment in such an extreme way.
