Growing up, my mom made mac & cheese like this:
8 ounce box of Creamettes Elbow Macaroni, cooked
Fresh American Cheese Slices from the Deli
14 ounce can of Tomato’s (cut up)
Salt & Pepper (to taste)
Bread Crumbs & Butter
Preheat Oven to 375. Put a Layer of Macaroni in casserole dish, add
half of the tomatos, & part of the Cheese to cover, Add another layer
of Macaroni, & the remaining Tomatos & Cheese, put the last of the
Macaroni on top of this. Cover with Cheese. On top is the Bread Crumbs,
dotted with Butter you can add some milk, water or tomato juice if
mixture seems to dry. Bake for 30 Minutes, or until Brown. :feedme:
