ParticipantEarly the next morning, Shelia wakes up to Jack sitting up in the bed smiling at her as if she had done something silly while she slept. What, she asks Jack? I was just sitting here thinking about the last couple of days and all the nonsense that went with it. I wasn’t amused at the moment but it’s hilarious now that I sit here and think back on it. Jack was all smiles and so happy that Shelia felt like a school girl once again and sat up to gently give him a kiss. So, Jack said, let’s plan our little trip and make all our phone calls and we’ll throw a few things together and take off. Alright, what do you want for breakfast and we can talk while we eat? Oh, Jack said, there’s a champagne buffet down at the Winmore that starts at 11, I thought we could go there to celebrate the beginning of our trip. What do you think? Shelia almost jumped on top of Jack as she squealled with glee. They both lay laughing and cutting up as if they were teenagers once again. Shelia turns to Jack and said I must have married the best guy in the world.

ParticipantWow! this would be a great way to say The End. 🙂 good job. We should probably let them have their camping trip though, they’ve worked so hard for it. 😆

Participantyeah, I guess so. But now that you said it, it would have been nice to end it here and start something else, huh?
Although, I don’t know what!March 25, 2007 at 11:19 am #38622Peggy
MemberYeah, it would be a really great ending, great job you guys! But, like G, I think they need to at least get to the campground! Maybe then we can end it! Whew! I think the next story we do, needs not to be never ending! 😯
Later on, the kids at Sheila’s sisters, the car all packed and ready to go, they told the dog to hop on in, and off they went! The window was rolled down and the dog hung it’s head out the window, tongue hanging out, the breeze blowing in his face, and all seemed right in the world at that moment. Even the sight of Pamela standing on her front porch glaring at them, didn’t faze them one little bit!
Oh, said Sheila, we can’t take the dog into the Winmore, so why don’t we just stop a little later down the road where they have those picnic tables? We can eat some of those sandwiches we packed and the dog can go have a good run while we are there, we know he sure deserves it…March 25, 2007 at 5:26 pm #38712Georgieanna
ParticipantBut wait, are they going to the hotel or camping? The Winmore was the ficitional hotel Jack asked Shelia to go to.

MemberShoot Georgie, it’s all fictional~ 😆
They are going camping because the dog isn’t allowed in the fictional hotel! That’s why they are eating sandwiches in the picnic area instead!

So instead of a champagne breakfast at the Winmore, they stopped by the liquor store and buying a nice bottle of champagne, again set off on their way. After a while, Jack turned onto a little traveled county road and before long pulled along side some shady trees.
This looks like a good spot; he said and reaching into the back seat, fastened a leash to the eager canine.March 30, 2007 at 1:22 am #39098Georgieanna

Jack, Sheila cried in a hushed but urgent tone, there’s something in the trunk. I hear scratching and I’m sure that’s where it’s coming from! Jack went to the car and bent down to listen. He was intently listening when he jerked upright his eyes opening wide and looking at Sheila, said, you’re absolutely right, there is something in there. Sheila asked, well what are we going to do? We have to open it and find out if it’s something or not, Jack said. Jack carefully placed his key into the truck lock and turned it very slowly and the trunk popped open as if in slow motion. When it was finally opened out ran the skunk presumably as thankful to be out of there as they were surprised to see him. They both stood there laughing like fools when along came…

Participantyeah, I didn’t know at first if it should be a bear or the skunk! That takes care of that….. 😀
