Peanut butter was invented and reinvented many times during history. Peanuts were known as early as 950 B.C. and originated in South America. The ancient Incas used peanuts and were known to have made it into a paste-like substance.

I imagine you are after George Washington Carver, who “invented” just about everything pertinent to peanuts…….He start popularizing uses for peanut products including peanut butter, in 1880.

The Carter Family originated in and around Maces Spring, Va., in the mid-twenties. The group was originally composed of Alvin “A.P.” Carter, his wife Sarah and sister-in-law Maybelle Addington. They first recorded in 1927.
They were joined during the 30’s by “Mother” Maybelle’s daughters, Anita, June, and Helen.

The group disbanded in 1943, with Maybelle and her daughters re-forming as “the Carter Sisters and Mother Maybelle”.

I could go on and on……………..

on December 15, 1944, Glenn boarded a single engine C-64 Norseman aircraft to travel to Paris, France where he was to make arrangements for a Christmas broadcast. Tragically, the plane never reached France and was never found.
