    I learnred my lesson here.didn’t do my homework well enough before the question. the date I originally had was referring to the song about bicycle built for two and I thought it was for the invention. Did some more research since. I’ll take what ever you got.
    hint: bicycle also referred to as a Tamden

    Daisy Daisy,
    Give me your answer do!
    I’m half crazy,
    All for the love of you!
    It won’t be a stylish marriage,
    I can’t afford a carriage,
    But you’ll look sweet on the seat
    Of a bicycle built for two !

    Henry, Henry, here is your answer true;
    I’m not crazy over the likes of you.
    If YOU can’t afford a carriage, forget about the marriage;
    ‘Cause I won’t be jammed, I won’t be crammed
    on a bicycle built for two.

    “Daisy Bell” was composed by Harry Dacre in 1892. As David Ewen writes in American Popular Songs: “When Dacre, an English popular composer, first came to the United States, he brought with him a bicycle, for which he was charged duty. His friend (the songwriter William Jerome) remarked lightly: ‘It’s lucky you didn’t bring a bicycle built for two, otherwise you’d have to pay double duty.’ Dacre was so taken with the phrase ‘bicycle built for two’ that he decided to use it in a song. That song, Daisy Bell, first became successful in a London music hall, in a performance by Kate Lawrence. Tony Pastor was the first one to sing it in the United States. Its success in America began when Jennie Lindsay brought down the house with it at the Atlantic Gardens on the Bowery early in 1892.”

    Sorry, nope.

    A clue:

    The International Federation of Air Line Pilots Associations (IFALPA) has called a 24-hour stoppage and accused governments of failing to take action to halt air piracy.

    The 24-hour strike went ahead at 0600BST on 19 June, affecting civil air travel all around the world.
    Although the British pilots’ association withdrew its official support for the stoppage, after reassurances from the government, many pilots chose to remain at home anyway. British European Airways reported about a third of its flights had been cancelled.

    As the strike took effect, IFALPA said it believed the action had “given a new impetus and a new direction” to solving the problem of hijacking.

    The aviation industry later introduced metal detectors to identify any weapons carried onto aircraft.
