The first of their songs came out in 1958 and was sung on audiotape and when played back at a faster speed it was a full octave higher in pitch. They did this with many songs back then and continue to use it to this day. That’s how Ross Bagdasarian, aka Dave Seville, first did the Witch Doctor in earlier 1958 also.
He started touring with the Stones in 1975 when Mick Taylor left the Stones in ’74 and he toured in with them on the Tour of America, while still performing alone.
