Sir Robin swept his wings back and dropped like a stone, hurtling towards Blue Jay, going faster and faster and faster.
The Eagle turned to his side and then dropped, swooping towards the small people thing. He gave four great beats of his huge wings, swept them back and sped like a rocket towards the small people thing, his talons were ready for ripping and clawing and slashing…..
The little golden hair girl threw her hands over her head which caused her to drop the camera. She began to cry. Eagle hesitated for an instance and then flew up into the air where Robin and Blue Jay had taken flight.
It only took a few moments for Eagle to catch up with the other birds. He could hear Robin scolding Blue Jay as they made their way back to the shelter of the forest.
You are such a foolish little Jay said Robin; you could have gotten yourself trapped or killed!
And you had no thought for reason, snapped Robin, only for your stomach.
Enough of this quibble interrupted Eagle; we must get back to the forest. Teacher has sent out a search party of which I am a part of and enough time has been wasted.
They flew on in silence, each preoccupied with their own thoughts. Eagle was still concerned with getting Blue Jay back to the safety of the forest. Perhaps Teacher would take favor with him. After all, had he not found the missing nuisance, Blue Jay?
He wanted to join up with the other searchers, Wolfy and Bear. Perhaps Teacher would put him in charge. His keen eyes would locate the people boundaries before the others.
