Nana–I had a similar problem when I tried to download some smileys. Jeff said to go into your control panel and into add or remove programs and look for anything weird. If you see something your not sure of, post it here so he or Dennis can see it. Hope it helps.

Oh this explains it.You do have spyware on your pc.You never ever download those toolbars or smilies things you see in banner ads.My sisters daughter learnt that the hard way and I spent ages fixing her pc.

I did spybot…it seemed to have found & fixed them. I looked at the other site you said…but haven’t done the others yet. Why do they ask for a scan log file…does that give out all the info on your computer or what?

There is nothing “Odd” that I can see in the add remove programs. I have checked it almost everyday since it started saying that. I just doubled checked again.

I promise NEVER WILL I DOWNLOAD MORE SMILEYS OR TOOLBARS!!!!!!!

I hope that spybot & ad aware will solve the problem!!! Thank you all. Yes pc ed would be great, for me especially since I’m mainly just learning as I go. You’d be prod of me…maybe…I installed (myself) more memory in here this past week. I done it myself!!!!!

Okay let’s hope it fixed it.I am still learning to.You’ll never know everything about these wierd and wonderfull things.That’s great you installed the memory yourself 🙂 Alot of spyware will not go into the add and remove section.Alot either installs stuff elsewhere so you can’t find it or makes it hard for you to find.The scan log file shows what’s running on the pc and lets you find things that should not be running.That is all that is.
