Sarah stirring. Gently shaking her shoulders, Hattie said, Wake up child, my suspicions were right, you were drugged. She held the pills out in her hand for Sarah to see.

As the door opened, a man and a woman stood there with confusion, but bright smiles lit their faces as soon as they saw one of their visitors was Hattie! They hurried down the steps, wrapped Hattie in a huge hug, and the man said, woman you sure a sight for these old eyes, but who is this poor child you have with you? She sure looks like she has been through something really bad, and she seems so weak. Hattie looked over Sarah’s shoulder with a warning look in her eyes, and gently shook her head. The woman realizing that Hattie did not want to talk in front of Sarah, softly spoke to Sarah, and led her into the house while the man and Hattie stood outside…
Hattie and Mr. Gilbert came inside while the three sleuths quickly packed a few things in their bags. Hattie said they should get going in hopes of beating Mike home.
