What an incredible picture 🙂
May 3, 2007 at 6:47 pm #42449englandboy – JohnParticipantBeen a funny day today, started off OK, then I just got real tired, so I`ve been doing nothing but watch the TV.
I never knew there so much rubbish on TV during the day, I think I`ve worn out the TV remote 😀 I changed channels that many times 😆It`s now 7.44pm over the pond here in England and the sun is setting, so hopefully it might get a little bit cooler – I hope so 😉
Today has been our local council elections (not the main election) so the news will be about nothing but the election results tonight so I`m going to watch a dvd. Don`t know which one to watch yet. It`s a choice between The Green Mile or Forest Gump – I`ll let Charlie choose 🙄May 3, 2007 at 6:52 pm #42453GeorgieannaParticipantThey’re both good so it doesn’t matter which one y’all watch. Hey England, you oughta see my desktop with the beautiful picture on it. Now I can always think of you! 😉
May 3, 2007 at 7:13 pm #42462englandboy – JohnParticipantMy pleasure ma`am
May 4, 2007 at 10:38 am #42492englandboy – JohnParticipantCold, black clouds, raining, who`s stolen my good weather 😆
May 4, 2007 at 5:46 pm #42502GeorgieannaParticipantNot I, we’re having the same thing, but it’s my favorite kind of weather. 😕
May 4, 2007 at 5:51 pm #42503generallParticipant😯 😯 Give me the sunshine 🙂
May 6, 2007 at 2:01 pm #42711englandboy – JohnParticipantRained all morning, nice and sunny in the afternoon 😀 winds blowing wild, but it`s warm 😉
Sore throat is going crazy and so is the cough. Charlie says I sound like one of those monkeys in the wild when I cough :dunno: :rofl:I`ve downloaded a crossword compiler today, so that will keep me busy for a while, I like crosswords & quizwords books.
I`m going to have a hot lemon drink and take my medication now. Later I`ll have some hot soup :stirpot:
😀May 6, 2007 at 5:17 pm #42713GeorgieannaParticipantTake care, England. Please don’t go to church in that bad weather with your cold. Take care and tell Charlie hello. 😀
May 7, 2007 at 12:56 pm #42775englandboy – JohnParticipantHi all, Not too bad today, still coughing and sound like an old steam train 😆 Woke up today to heavy rain, thunder lightning. The wind is blowing pretty hard so I won`t be having meal outside today 😆
Been busy today backing up all my new files/pictures/music/films/data onto the external hard drive, don`t want to lose anything if the main drive crashes 😯
Have another dvd to watch tonight “Meet the Fockers” a friend says it is a good laugh.
Had quite a few visitors yesterday, so I`m hoping today will be pretty quiet – but it is a bank holiday today, so I`m not keeping my hopes up 😉 I like visitors and we normally have a good talk and laugh and a few cool beers. But when I`m not feeling to healthy it`s good when they leave to go home. I reckon this cold will probably last another 4-5 days then hopefully it will go AWAY! 😆 😆 😆
Everytime I cough, Charlie looks at me from the corner of her eye and says `poor baby, you got a bad cough, what a shame. Then smiles` 😀Charlie is going to see her friend tonight :nana: , so I`ll be watching the dvd on my own with a hot bowl of Chicken soup 😀
May 7, 2007 at 1:52 pm #42781GeorgieannaParticipantSorry the weather is still bad for you, England. It would have been nice to get some warm sunshine. You know as much as it tires you to have guests, it’s also a bad idea for them to see you and maybe they could catch your cold. If you don’t feel up to company that’s a good excuse not to hurt anyone’s feelings.
You will be on the floor with the movie you’re watching tonight. After you’re finished with it, get Meet the Parents. You’ll scream even more! Enjoy your day, England. 🙂May 7, 2007 at 2:46 pm #42784David CParticipantHi John
Just been up to the allotment and the ground is dry and dusty. Not too warm today, about 11C, they have promised rain for the last few days but it seems to miss us and the plants are curling up with thirst.Fay has handed her notice in at the University and is starting work at the Community Education office as the Exams Officer on 1st June.. This is part time over 3 days so will give her Thursday and Friday off. We can then spend more time together.
She is due some holiday so will actually finish work on Thurs 17th. We have booked flights to Lyon in France to visit a friend who works in Valence which is about an hours drive to the south. We hope to visit the chocolate boutique at Valrhona chocolate in Tain l’Hermitage- They produce some of the best chocolate in the world from individual named estates… A 400g box of their chocolates (of your choice) costs about $40, so we w’ont be buying a lot but they do let you taste before you buy!!!!!
We will probably go to Chateauneuf du Pape a bit further to the south for a day out and visit some of the wine estates for a taste or two with perhaps a stop at some other wine vilage in the Rhone valley to taste wine and truffles for wich this area is famed.. Also on the way south there is Montelimar.. fameous for Nougat so we may have to stop there for a sample or two..
We will return home on the 26th a little bloated and 2 stone heavier!!!!!
I had thought about a visit to the southern states to tyry out your mudbugs etc. When the insurance people wanted $1400 for medical insurance for 10 days I put that idea on hold. This was more than the flights and hotel were going to cost per person..
Take care
DavidMay 7, 2007 at 4:38 pm #42791generallParticipantYour trip sounds wonderful {especially the wine tasting 🙂
If I don’t talk to you before you leave, You and Fay have a safe and enjoyable trip. Maybe when you get back the rain will have done it’s stuff 🙂May 8, 2007 at 6:18 am #42854PeggyMemberEngland, that movie should cheer you up, it’s pretty funny!
I hope you get to feeling much better!!! LISTEN TO CHARLIE!!!
May 8, 2007 at 6:20 am #42855PeggyMemberDavid! It’s great to see you again, we miss you!
You and Fay enjoy yourselves, sounds like a great trip! Wish you COULD have come over here, but hey, enjoy it to the fullest!
It’s great that you and Fay are going to have more time together now, that is so cool!
Tell Fay hello, and give her a hug from us!
Don’t forget, if one of us wins the lottery, we are all going to get together, and you and Fay and England and Charlie can have “mudbugs” 😆
