Yep, the newspaper is a good place too!!
December 14, 2007 at 4:10 pm #53863PeggyMemberWe haven’t had any disagreements with anyone! It’s just a bad neighborhood, with lots of drugs going around. What bothers me, is I don’t know if it was random, or if they targeted us. If it’s random, it wouldn’t bother me as much. But, if we are targeted, then that is something to really worry about.
I understand what you mean Lucky, but don’t you think they could have at LEAST tried getting fingerprints off the gas can??? As much stuff that goes on in this neighborhood, and lots of them going in and out of jail, chances are, his fingerprints ARE on file.
GG, that’s a good idea too. Thanks!
December 15, 2007 at 1:16 am #53875TxsChefMemberHow are things today Peggy? I thought about y’all last night and several times today. One of the guys at work said you need to raise holy hell with the cops! They are paid to to protect you whether they like the neighborhood or not. File a grievance claiming negligent handling of evidence since they did not remove and test the evidence that could hold the print to identify these morons!!
(((((Peggy)))))December 15, 2007 at 5:23 pm #53882PeggyMemberDoing good Txchef, thanks for asking!
So far, nothing else has happened, so hopefully, it was just a random act. I am going to go to the police station, just haven’t really had the time. First thing Monday morning though, I will. Can’t remember if I told you or not, but they had told my son that no crime had been committed!
How’s your weekend going???? Got any bread left? 😆
December 15, 2007 at 11:47 pm #53884TxsChefMemberNo crime commited?? Pulllllllllleeeeeze!! Dousing one’s property is a crime!! Vandalism with intent to commit arson??
Yep, I have bread!! I do a loaf alomst every night!! We are going to have a hard freeze tonight!! Dang, I hate winter!!
December 16, 2007 at 12:49 am #53885PeggyMemberWe are going to be in the mid 30’s BRRRRR!!!! I agree, I HATE WINTER TOO! 😯
December 16, 2007 at 7:35 am #53886PeggyMemberOkay, he came back and did it again tonight. This time I was here by myself, and my car was here. I smelled gas, and looked out the window, and all I saw was a tennis shoe, and a lighter being lit on the other side of my utility room off my carport. I had no clue what to do, so I just opened the back door, slammed it real hard, and screamed CALL THE COPS! He ran off, AGAIN.
I called the cops, and he finally got here. I told him this was the second time this had happened in two nights. He said he was aware of it. Then I noticed something wet on my car. He had poured gas all over my car. The cop said, are you sure your car dont have a gas leak? 👿 Not unless it happened in the last ten minutes!!!
Said there is nothing they can do without a description. Yeah, right, a white tennis shoe and the flame of a lighter! I asked again about the gas can, and fingerprints. He said he didn’t have any where to store anything with gas in it, and doubted anything could be lifted off of plastic, and my fingerprints were all over it. I told him it was EMPTY, and they brought their own this time! Plus, couldn’t they take my fingerprints and eliminate them???? Well….seems like he has to talk to his supervisor on MONDAY!!!!
THEN I asked if he would stay there while I got dressed and left? He said HOW LONG WILL THAT TAKE???? I said less than five minutes. He said, well, HURRY UP it’s a Saturday night and we have lots of calls, you know just a normal Saturday night!!!!!!!! Yeah, maybe for HIM!!! His house didn’t just about get blown up!
So, somebody tell me, wha the hell are we supposed to do??????????? The cops are useless here.
Lucky, I know your wife is a warden of sorts, but believe me, this isn’t aimed toward cops in general, or law enforcement. It’s the ONES HERE!!! Their whole damn attitude. They don’t even make a report. Just took name, number, and street address in a tiny little notebook.
If you all don’t hear from me in a while, you know he finally got the job done!!!

December 16, 2007 at 1:15 pm #53888TxsChefMemberOh shit Peggy!! My hands are shaking reading this!! I’ll post it on all the sites I can!!
Fingerprints can be lifted from plastic. What a bunch of lazy idiots on the force there!! 👿 👿 👿December 16, 2007 at 1:24 pm #53889TxsChefMemberI posted the link in a couple of forums.
I’d be calling a supervisor on the force and the media!! This fool means business and you can’t stay awake 24/7!!December 16, 2007 at 2:57 pm #53892gettingoldParticipant1. I would definitely get the newspaper involved now.
2. I would knock on all the doors in the neighborhood to keep a sharp eye out
3. I would hire a private detective company who could watch your house 24 hours a day
4. I would go see the fire chief in the area covering your house and forewarn them and tell them what the cops aren’t doing.
5. I would try to get permission to set up a surveillance camera in the window across the street.
6. I would definitely have a dog in the garage or in one of the portable pens in the carport. They don’t cost much. This dude is getting way too close to your house undetected and a dog will prevent that.
7. I would innundate my city councilmans and mayors office with phone callsDecember 16, 2007 at 3:09 pm #53893PeggyMemberThanks to you both for your help and support. I really appreciate it.
This guy had poured the gas on my car, with a trail of gas leading from it to the side of the utility room. I can’t believe he is brave enough to come on the carport with that light on, the front porch light on, and the lights on in the house.
Thanks again y’all, you have helped a lot.
