And hobble back to the houseI brushed his teeth and washed him well

He ran out back and rolled and shook

Right in the middle of my bed

And before you know it he was out in space :dunno:I decided maybe he needs a canine friend
But do I want to go through that again
So hard to train a puppy dog
Don’t think I’ll take on that job
So since we both had baths and showers
went for a walk to smell the flowersThere were bluebells roses, sunflowers too,
Bees and wasps & a bluebird or two,
We walked & walked in fields of green,
That dumb mutt no longer looks mean,
Down in the dell we both spotted a stream,
We both had a drink then lay down to dream…..So we slept on in a field of flowers
Must have been asleep for hours
When I awoke it was already dark
And off in the distance I heard a bark
Off to find my mutt, I ventured into the night
And what do you think wandered into sight..I know, but wouldn’t that be something! Before you entered your poem I was thinking about making the dog expecting! 😆
