away down town,

Well they say a dog is mans best friend
but I for one say this is the end
He’s fluffy and cute but that don’t matter to me
I’m sick of the destruction and fed up with the pee
I plant my garden just to have it dug up
Can’t read the paper cause he’s gone a muck
yet with my child he so protectively lays
and I think he has seen much better days
so I give in again and say another time
I hope one of you will think of a rhyme 😕

So that darn dog gets another reprieve,
It rips the paper then plays in the leaves,
One of these days it`s gonna get it`s upcoming,
but in the meantime, I`ll just smile and keep humming

He’s a friendly ol’ canine who eats like a hog
A pain in the rump but a faithful old dog
So as England suggests, I’m just humming a tune
And trying to ignore my whole house in ruin
But here’s more mischief, what do you think of that
With a new burst of energy he’s chasing the cat!

I tripped on a brick and gashed open my knee!
The neighbors run out to see what’s the matter
I yell at them to go get the hammer!
That dogs a goner this time for good

They looked at me like I’d gone crazy
It was right about then, that things got hazy!

That dumb dog came racing back,
between my legs & I fell on my back,
The huge piece of log hit my head,
I lay their seeing stars thinking was I dead,
I felt something wet and sloppy all over my face,
That darn dog was licking me with an angel looking face,
I slowly reached up and took it by the throat……….

Only then did I notice his shabby old coat
It was so matted and his breath was real bad
If I could kill him now
I don’t think I’d be sad
But then I decided to brush the old louse
Managed to get on my feet
And hobble back to the house
