2 c. brown sugar
2 c. white sugar
1 c. milk
1 1/2 c. English walnuts
1/2 c. butter
1 c. dates
1 tsp. vanilla
Cook sugar and milk until it forms a soft ball in water. Add dates, cook 5 minutes. Remove from fire, add vanilla, butter, and nuts. Stir until cool. Have a cloth a yard long rung out of cold water. String candy along cloth, roll and slice cool.
