In Vermont, when you make maple syrup, while it’s still HOT, and I do mean hot, you take it out and pour it on some snow that’s in a bowl. It turns it into kind of a sticky, hard really sweet stuff that people go nuts for. Didn’t do too much for me. I’d rather be in here, in my warm house, eating maple syrup on pancakes!!!
Sugar making, as they call making maple syrup, is cold, hard work. We had a sugarworks, my husband has done it since he was a kid. But, boy is it work!!!! That’s why you get $40 a gallon for the good stuff!!!
