Copycat Bisquick Mix
This is a handy mix that is easy to make and always great to have around. Most kitchens usually have these ingredients and their are so many good uses for Bisquick mix.
6 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons baking powder
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup vegetable shortening
Sift flour, baking powder and salt three times into a large bowl.
Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
Store mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 months.
is this recipe diabetic friendly, and what about using wheat flour
You certainly could use wheat flour.
how do you use this once you have it made?
Mix together:
One egg
One cup bisquick
1/2 cup milk
This will make 3-4 pancakes.
I use it to make biscuits,shortcakes for strawberry shortcake.
It’s the same as bisquick.
Garlic Cheese Rolls
2 cups bisquik
½ + cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup milk
2 tblsp margarine
¼ tsp garlic powder
Mix and drop onto a sprayed cookie sheet. Bake at 450 degrees until getting brown, about 15 minutes
