1 package penne pasta
\n12 stalks fresh asparagus
\n4 tablespoons butter
\n1\/2 pint heavy cream
\n2 teaspoons freshly ground pepper
\nKosher salt, to taste
\n6 ounces gorgonzola cheese<\/p>\n

Cook the pasta according to the package directions.\u00c2\u00a0 Meanwhile, cut off the bottoms of the asparagus, then wash the stalks. Cut into 1 inch pieces on an angle. Chop gorgonozola into small chunks.\u00c2\u00a0 Boil or steam the asparagus until just tender (about 7 minutes).\u00c2\u00a0 Melt the butter in a medium-sized pan.\u00c2\u00a0 Add cream, black pepper and salt.\u00c2\u00a0 Cook, stirring, until the sauce\u00c2\u00a0 starts to thicken. Add 5 oz. of the Gorgonzola, and continue stirring.\u00c2\u00a0 Once the pasta is ready, drain and add it back to the pot. \u00c2\u00a0 Mix in the asparagus and sauce.\u00c2\u00a0 Stir, making sure pasta is coated. Add the remaining 1 oz. gorgonzola and stir through before serving.<\/p>\n
