Microwave Stuffed “Baked” Apples Serves: 2 Mr. Food

    1/4 cup low-fat granola cereal
    1 tablespoon brown sugar
    1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    Instructions

Place apples in a 1-quart microwave-safe baking dish. Cover with plastic
wrap, loosening one corner to vent. Microwave on high 2 minutes.
Combine cereal, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stuff into cored apple cavities,

That recipe sounds positively divine. . .especially nice considering I’m an apple fanatic. LOL. Interesting use of the parenthesis around the “baked” too. I never would have thought that you could essentially microwave a home-made desert and make it sound (and more than likely taste) so delicious. Besides, why would we need to bake this dish anyway? Granola is already crunchy and apples don’t need any sort of darkening or crispiness.

Thanks for posting this, Lucky! Sounds yummy!
