    Shepherd’s Pie

    5 to 6 large potatoes boiled and mashed
    1/2 cup heavy cream
    1/4 cup butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 1/2 lbs ground beef
    4 Tbsp olive oil
    2 large onions chopped
    3 large carrots peeled and chopped
    Or 1 large can sweet peas
    1 cup beef stock or boullion
    1/2 cup A1 sauce
    1/2 tsp garlic powder
    Preheat the oven to 375:
    Boil and mash potatoes; heavy cream, butter, salt and pepper to taste. Set
    aside. Brown the beef in 2 tablespoons of oil. Remove meat from the pan and
    set aside. Drain most of the accumulated fat from the pan. Add remaining 2
    tablespoons of olive oil and saute the onions and carrots till tender. Add
    beef stock, A1 sauce, garlic powder and beef to the pan and continue cooking
    at a simmer for 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
