    New Year Peas

    1lb dried black eye peas, soaked overnight
    3 cups water, or enough to cover peas
    1lb link sausage, or your favorite
    1 small onion, chopped
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
    1 tsp. salt
    8 oz. prepared barbecue sauce

    Serves 6
