I have a little flower, just outside my room
And every time it’s springtime, my little flower blooms
By day it’s touched by sunlight, at night kissed by the moon
Then suddenly it’s winter, my flower fades too soon
I watch it as it boldly tucks itself away
To face all by itself, each cold and blustry day
It’s petals all have shattered, it’s leaves are bent and bruised
I wonder how it can survive, to have been so much abused
When winter time has faded and springtime takes it’s place
I look outside my window, with awe upon my face
For my little flower, so small but yet so brave
Has made it through one more time to stun me with it’s grace
