    Grilled Clams

    To make six clams, for one appetizer serving:

    1 cup barbecue sauce

    1 clove garlic, minced

    salt and black pepper to taste

    4 leaves fresh basil, finely chopped

    Remove clams from shells.

    Mix barbecue sauce, garlic, salt and pepper and basil.

    Dredge clams in barbecue mixture. Fill the empty half shells with barbecue mixture.

    Place clam in filled half shell.

    Place on grill on low flame for 6 minutes, and serve.
