I am dealing with releasing something sad in my life. Still! ( I told you about it once Peg, hence the Moody Blues posts {in what song game} “I know You’re Out There Some Where” and “In Your Wildest Dreams”

So here is my poem, a release….. the more I release the better I am. Already posted on GG’s forum under Redstormy-and Members Share their Poetry, Writings, and Philosophys

    Bryant

I loved him for as long as I knew him.
Not a lover or a brother but more than a friend
    A soul mate perhaps,
Definitely a bond to the end.
Time and space happened and we drifted apart
Loosing touch and contact but always in my heart.
Days, weeks and years melted away
I will see him soon, Id hear myself say.
Once on a night so quiet and still
I knew I must find him
    I know that I will.
The desire to hug and talk was so strong.
    I was searching and looking
It had been far too long.
Imagining the reunion, the joyous catching up on a lot
    And then I found him
And I felt my heart stop.
My dear love friend had passed on a long time before
I had started my search and I’d see him no more.

And I cling to the memories and they will help me get through.
At times when I listen to loved music, we shared
I feel he is telling me that the love is still there.
That he knows of my feelings and the pain in my heart
And only this world is what keeps us apart.
I find I think of him often and talk to him still.
I love you Bryant and always I will.

and that is good.It is not sad. It is my experience of it that is sad, a choice I have to determine for me and somehow make it positive. I’m still working on it. πŸ™‚

Try going at it from a different direction. We all try to judge things and that causes problems. An experience can not be good or bad. It is just an experience. We shouldn’t judge it.

What if his trip thru here was to touch 7 people in a positive way while he was here? He may have had to leave your sphere of influence to touch the other 6. You were one of the lucky ones to be touched by him. This can only be a positive in your life.

You may decide to feel sad for awhile because he is no longer in your life but don’t tie an emotion to it so it debilitates you.

Since you were lucky to have him you might decide at any time to feel happy about the experience.

    hope this helps

Thank you gg. It does help. I know I need to release the guilt of going so long with out contacting him, what ever the reasons, and rejoice in the life experience I got from loving and knowing and learning from him.
I agree about the judgment and when I allow my self that, I will not be sad.
I remember something Wayne Dyer said. That if you change the way you look at something, what you look at will change πŸ™‚

You both have a really good point. I need to do the same in my life. Easier said than done though.

He is right. We hve to make sure we are looking at it thru our eyes

    not grandmother, mother,father,teacher,religious teachers,etc etc

sometimes It’s nice to back up and ask ” why am I looking at this the way I am?
