Can anyone tell me? I have a bread machine that does a two pound loaf.I find i always get a heavy loaf not light anf fluffy.I follow the instructions exactly. If there is a cure to this that anyone knows of I would love to hear it. Maybe it is always like that,everything tastes good just that it is heavy.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm, I use a bread machine 2 or 3 times a week and it does not come out heavy. Are you placing the yeast on the flour and not letting it get wet before mixing? Are you using a mix or homemade?
I have a very light loaf of cinnamon raisin with icing just waiting for morning coffee!!
Here is an example of zucchini bread that is very tasty but very heavy.
3/4 cups of water
1/4 cup of grated zucchini
3 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp of honey
1tsp of sea salt
1/4 cup of wheat germ
1 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups of bread flour
1 tbsp gluten flour
2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
Everything is put in machine in order listed. Do you see a problem.I would love to try your recipe if you would share it. Have a great day.
