I cook for 1- what can I freeze

Postby gettingold » Fri Jun 29, 2007 6:38 pm

Need some general rules- what do I freeze and what do I throw out.

along the same lines- after I cook something, how long is it safe in the fridge to be safely eaten as a leftover.

need something better than my rule- If it hasn't turned green yet-eat it

I don't like all that clutter on my desktop, so here's what I did.

Right click on the START button, then click EXPLORE and you will see the computer menu. It should resemble this;

Floppy Disk (A: )
Local Disc (C: )
+Atla
+CB45
+COMPAQ
+Documents and Settings
+ETC,.....

Now what I did was in the Explorer window, On the left side, I clicked the C DRIVE And view the contents on the right side.

On the right side, I created some new folders for each subject,

EX. +Downloads Camera
+Downloads E Books
+Downloads Funnies
+Downloads Music
+Downloads Recipes
+Downloads Vacation

And in each of these I create more folders so I can keep things in order.

EX. +Downloads Recipes
+Appetisers
+Beverages
+Cajun
+Appetizers
+Beverage
+Cajun Copycats
+Appetizers
+Beverage
+ECT
+Copycat
+Appetisers
+Beverages
+ECT

OK,.. I think you get the idea, I restarted the categories at CAJUN and COPYCAT as they are a specific genre in of themselves.

If you have a photo category, you can give each folder a event name or a date. it should look about like this.

Floppy Disk (A: )
Local Disc (C: )
+Atlas
+CB45
+COMPAQ
+Documents and Settings
+ETC,.....
+Downloads Camera
+Downloads E Books
+Downloads Funnies
+Downloads Music
+Downloads Recipes
+Appetisers
+Beverages
+Cajun
+Appetizers
+Beverage
+Cajun Copycats
+Appetizers
+Beverage
+ECT
+Copycat
+Appetisers
+Beverages
+ECT
+Downloads Vacation

I Put Downloads in the names on the front of all my new folders names to keep them together in one place in the menu otherwise they fall in the menu alphabetically and whnd up scattered.

It's a system and it works

You can use the explorer to copy and paste them into C and rename them on a right click of the mouse.

Any questions?
