Chipotle Mayo
This simple recipe packs a powerful punch! Use it on sandwiches or as a spicy dip.
1 cup mayonnaise
1 can chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (you will not need the whole can)
juice of 1/2 lime
In a food processor, combine the mayonnaise, lime juice and 2 chipotle peppers and 1 tablespoon of the adobo sauce from the can. Save the rest of the chipotle peppers for future use. Blend together until combines. Use immediately or refrigerate.
Chipotle mayo is great with so many things- perfect on broiled fish, as a dipping sauce for steamed shrimp-the list is endless!
this is seriously a finger biting receipe..i tried it and received loads of comments and demand of another serving…also its healthy so i know my children are eatin the right stuff as well.looking forward for more of it.
I like this to I just read the recipe for chipotle sauce, this also sounds so good to me. I like to make my own mayonnaise so that would make it even better. I make mayonnaise buy whisking egg yolk, a little lemon juice, a little Dijon mustered, while whisking in some pure olive oil and the chipotle can be added to any part of that process. thanks for this I have been reading through some posts on this site and added it to my blogroll! 🙂
you know I was just thinking you add lime to the recipe you could add lime Instead of lemon in making the mayonnaise! just a thought:)
