I’m sure everyone has seen the Slap Chop infomercial on TV. Do you own one? Is it any good? I’ve never tried it, but I can’t stop laughing at this new remix of the Slap Chop commercial.
My husband and I saw the commercial for the Slap Chop and ordered it right away, and like anything you buy on-line like that, you can’t wait for it to get it in the mail! We received it within a few weeks and upon opening, we quickly washed and dried it and began reaching for various food items, such as ones we’d seen used in the TV commercials. Well, that’s where the love affair ended. Not only did it not chop onion, carrots, potatoes, and a myriad of food items, we had to pick it off of the “blades.” It failed to chop anything we tried, and mind you, we were all for it when we received it; we weren’t trying to be negative, we really did want it to live up to it’s “reputation.” We washed and dried it, and there it sits today, in the back of the cupboard. Sending it back and requesting a refund seemed too much of a hassle, so were were dupped, as I’m sure many others were. The “blades” must’ve been sharpened in such a way that it could’ve chopped a brick! Too bad a sharpener such as effective as that wasn’t included. Some day we’ll learn not to order those items on-line, but for now we have shelves lined with non-workable “bargains.”
