Berries !As the summer wraps up, I like to make use of the fresh fruits available. This recipe is simple….and simply delicious! I love having this for breakfast or when I need a quick and light lunch.

Serves 2

1/2 cup frozen unsweetened raspberries
1/2 cup frozen unsweetened strawberries
3/4 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
1 cup fat-free vanilla yogurt

In a blender, combine the raspberries, strawberries, and pineapple juice. Add the yogurt. Blend until smooth.

That sounds delicious. One way to make sure you can have it all year round is by buying as much as you can when it's on sale and freeze the fruit. Then when you want a smoothie during the off-season, you can throw it in a blender with a little bit of juice and yogurt if desired. The frozen fruit also acts as ice so you don't have water it down with regular ice.
